Osvaldo Braga Tolentino Veloso
Osvaldo is an associate attorney, with practice focused on civil litigation, arbitration, and advisory matters. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). During his undergraduate studies, he served as a teaching assistant in Civil Law under the supervision of Professor Christian Sahb Batista Lopes. He was a member of UFMG’s International Arbitration and Contracts Group, having won the XIV Brazilian Business Arbitration Competition (CAMARB) as a competitor, and subsequently served as a coach to the UFMG team in 2024. He also acted as an oralist for the UFMG team at the 31st Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, in which the team reached the Round of 64. In addition, he participated in the IV Minas Gerais Civil Procedure Competition, as well as in the Agribusiness Arbitration Competitions organized by CAMAGRO in 2023 and 2024, and in the I Dispute Boards Competition organized by Fundação Getúlio Vargas, receiving awards in all of them.
